Scenic Designer
Perelman Performing Arts Center, NYC
2024
I designed the scenic environment for the world premiere of this multimedia oratorio, a PAC NYC commission. With music by Luna Pearl Woolf, a libretto by David Van Taylor, and direction by Ty Defoe, the piece explores memory, loss, and community through the story of photographer Jamie Livingston, who took a single Polaroid every day for eighteen years. Designing within PAC NYC's radically flexible performance space, I worked to create an environment that held the intimacy of the subject matter at an architectural scale. The production featured countertenor John Holiday, NOVUS NY, and the Choir of Trinity Wall Street.
