Claire Karoff is an immersive designer and creative producer based in New York, creating environments that tell stories — for stages, bars, hotel ballrooms, branded events, and everywhere in between. Her work spans immersive theater, hospitality, experiential events, and live performance.
As Head of Design at New York's McKittrick Hotel — home of Punchdrunk's Sleep No More — Claire designed and produced more than 30 immersive events, leading crews of up to 20 artists and fabricators to transform one of New York's most atmospheric venues at every scale, from intimate one-night gatherings to multi-floor productions for thousands. She has been a design consultant for Punchdrunk since 2015, collaborating on projects including Sleep No More Shanghai.
She is currently the scenic designer for Death of Rasputin at the former McKittrick Hotel. Recent work also includes the world premiere of Number Our Days at the Perelman Performing Arts Center and co-creation of Dead Letter No. 9, the immersive bar and conversation parlor in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Claire works across the full arc of a project — conceiving the world, building the team, and seeing it through to the final nail.
