As Head of Design at The McKittrick Hotel from 2011 through 2016, I led the creative design of more than 30 events across the venue's distinct spaces — from the Manderley Bar and The Heath to the Sleep No More floors and the Gallow Green rooftop. The scope ranged from expansive public nightlife extravaganzas drawing thousands of guests to intimate private dinners and high-end commercial brand activations. Each event required transforming spaces already dense with atmosphere and narrative into something entirely new, while remaining in conversation with the world the hotel had built. Working in close collaboration with producers, performers, and vendors, I directed a crew of more than 20 artists and fabricators to bring each event to life — developing a fluency in fast-turnaround, detail-rich experiential design that could hold its own inside one of New York's most visually demanding venues.
